I was just wondering if anyone else on here uses a games rental company, I've been with Boomerang for over a year now and have had quite a good experience with them. I've only heard bad things about LoveFilm and has drew me away from trying them. Are there any others that some of you may know of?

Tried lovefilm for games and didn't get a single game that was on my list. There's a service over here called gamefly but they are way too expensive.

I always found Lovefilm good but lately I find their service is shocking.

To be honest, IMO the best 'rental' service is not a rental service at all. Buy a game, play the game, sell the game for 80-90% what you paid for it, buy the next game.

I'm going back to this after Lovefilm ends this month. Game only costs an average of £5 that way

What kind of games do you rent?
Do you not find that you run out of time in the more in-depth kind of games?

I always found that. So short time, and the lack of a manual (lol), made me give renting up back in the PS2 days.

Most rental companies alow you too keep the game for as long as you want. Blockbuster are a rip off, £8 too keep a game for 7 days...

I use LoveFilm for games and movies and I've not had any problems. They ship the discs out on time and only one or two discs I've received have not worked.

A friend of mine has used LoveFilm for a while now for games (we only use it for films), and not had any problems, other than a tendency to get older games before getting the newer ones.

I've used boomerangrentals for well over a year now, I get 4 games a month for £10, always get a game out of my top 5. Never waited more than 2 days for a new game to be sent :)

Have also tried the love film rental but found them to be shockingly bad! Waited over a week for another game to be sent and then it was from the very bottom of my list, finished said game rather quickly, sent it back and again waited another week...

A fiver, including delivery and any fees? I used to do what you say but ebay fees have become a rip off and game prices drop so fast now that even on the members market you are lucky to lose only a fiver including delivery.

I personally use lovefilm and have off and on for 3 years. From about 2 years total membership 2 games at home at a time I've only had to pay for about 5 months using 90 day trials over and over and 3 months for the price of 1 return deals.

Nothing beats free ;)

I must have had 60+ games from lovefilm excluding the hundreds of dvd's in that time and it's no way near 50p a game total cost to me.

I like lovefilm they nearly always send me the latest game if I force the issue by having two lists and one list with one game in it.

I just left Boomerang and moved to Lovefilm due to their 3 for 1 mth membership.
Spent 2yrs with Boomerang but the change was more financial than any issues with them.

Is that the Unlimited 1 package mate?

Just looking on the site it does say "up to 4 game at a time" but when i go on view packages it only says "1 game at a time"

I may just email them and query it, but wondered if you or anyone else might know

Well, yes this is what made me switch to rental. So I couldn't do it for £5 now, unless I waited quite a bit after release to minimise price drop by the time i've played it. Noticed Amazon fee's are up too so probably nearer £10 these days.

Mind you we all know they are hitting the used market as it's a huge money loss for companies.

I may be just having a bad time with Lovefilm for some reason. Always weere great but just seem slow these days.

On the other hand, i've added Uncharted 3 and it was dispatched the next day (on release day) so could have just had a run of bad luck.
