Games where patching would have improved review scores

MOH Airborne. :(

I was expecting a great deal - EA failed to deliver. Never got another title by them since.
What do you expect if you release a broken game and can't be bothered to fix the important bits? As it was there were iirc 1 or 2 cosmetic bugfixes, then further support/patching was ditched.
1/10

Any MMO and most other games really :p

Maybe one day publishers/devs will wake up to the fact that giving a game a few more months dev time could be beneficial to them in the long run....

Why? Publishers know too well millions of mugs will still buy the game. Why wait a few months for the money to start rolling in?

Main ones that spring to mind:

Titan Quest (couldn't really play it at all)

Anarchy Online (again couldn't play it, friends stuck in shop for 3 days, etc.)

Age of Conan (again made by the same company who made Anarchy Online - more fundamental problems than just bugs but the promise of DX10, charging to download a trial client, horrendously instanced, etc.) but then it's still like that now so patching it now might up the score!

Elemental War of Magic. And to a lesser extent Demigod.

Stardock :(

Demigod was just horrific on release. I think the game could have been so much more prominant had it been as good then as it is now. Releasing an online multiplayer game with balls netcode isn't the best idea :/

It's still rubbish netcode. Age of Empires 3 has much better netcode and that's like 4 years older. lol. Great game though, would be still playing today if they sorted it out.

I could say COD Black Ops but so far none of their patches have worked, and im not holding my breath either

I would say Bad Company 2 has improved drastically from the 1st week of release
