Games with great Armour and Customization

Hi all. Got a kind of weird question. First off I should say that I almost exclusively play RPGs(or as close as you can get nowadays). Now, I am finding myself really wanting to play a game where there is some really cool armour and ways to customise it. You know, a game where you can really create a unique look for your character.

I recently tried for the hundredth time to get in to Dragon's Dogma but I just don't like it. I find it average in pretty much every way, but one area I thought was brilliant was in the armour and different variations you can get. I also thought Fallout 4 did armour very well indeed.

The two best RPGs of recent times imo are Pillars of Eternity and Wasteland 2, but unfortunately being isometric with a zoomed out perspective they didn't really offer much diversity in that regard, which I found a shame tbh(actually that is a little unfair on Pillars, which does try).

So any recommendation for games that offer you the chance to create a cool look for your character with some awesome armour? Obviously I know The TES and Fallout games spring to mind quite quickly but I'm not in the mood for them atm tbh.

Cheers

I'm actually playing Dark Souls atm. Just started in preparation for 3. I only played it recently as well, about 6 months ago and I'm hooked again!

Arnour is great in the game, but for my next game I'm gonna look for something where I can craft a unique look for my character. For example, a thief looking character with light armour, warrior with heavy armour etc.

Anyone know what Two Worlds 2 is like in this regard?I don't like the devs, but I do have it in my library.

Maybe you mean you're trying to match play style with armor look? I cant really think of anything outside Elder Scrolls that does that well.

Yeah I suppose that is my main objective really. A game where I can craft a character with armour that matches the play style, or at least gives you lots of customization. I thought Dragon's Dogma did it really well actually. Shame it is an incredibly dull game!

How about the Risen games?
