Gamespot review of Bioshock up

heh I still didn't notice that even after reading the review  It's a bit worrying the glitches they noticed, I haven't seen any other gaming website mention that.

Indeed. Probably their well used 360s have something to do with it, or a dirty disc.....i hope.

Not a particularly enthusiatic review overall, about the game or in its writing style...but still a 9.0.

True but considering that they only gave HL2 a 9.2 and Twilight Princess 8.8 a 9.0 seems quite solid.

Hey guys remember that they round to the nearest half point score now so there are no longer scores like 9.2. On the old system it have scored more, 9 is a rarity around there lately :)

Bring on Friday!

What benefit does that have? Seems odd.

Well just been playing the PC demo for a bit, i know i cant say much for the whole game but its a great game, but not as great as all the 10's been thrown about. I heard last week on kotaku about some pauses and bugs in the demo on the 360 walking through walls some other weird stuff. Without playing the whole game through, I dont think we can wholly judge it from the demo. Like to see what the PC versions gets. Gamespot do like throwing the odd low score about like Zelda Twighlight Princess, but for what i have played and heard about so far a 9/10 is pretty much what id give it. Gamespot's System wars has gone into melt down over it!

Nice to see a review that ain't "ZOMG! Bioshock! *gurgle* 10/10! buy eeet!" for a change though :p

I haven't noticed any gitches, so i'd say it's there console/disc

Wow Im surprised gamespot gave it AAA, I was expecting another 8.5 from them. Bit silly giving it more than that really, with all the other great games coming out this year that offer a lot more than Bioshock.

Last night before I went to bed I checked if the review was up and I noticed they gave rainbow six vegas a 9.1, so I knew it would get lower than that.

Again there are now NO 9.1s 9.2s etc they only round to half points so if they were judged on the same review system things may of been different, this system changed only within the last month or so, the review text however is a bit lacking tbh. This is not the guy that gave PDZ a 9 that was Greg(he was half decent apart from that), this is the famous Jeff ****** everyone off Gerstman and yes he gave GeOW 9.6.

Seriously dude, we all bu now know you don't like the game.
Why keep posting in it's threads?

I take the GameSpot reviews with a pinch of salt.

If you think you like the look of the game, then chances are you will when.

Obviously, if you can test a demo first then great.. but really then it should be cementing your purchase, regardless what some journalist says :)
