BIG WARNING - I felt like I had ruined the excitement after watching this...you see a few movie scenes which look to me as story spoilers.. :( I hope they arent!

P.s If you DO watch any reviews.... watch the GT one... the other is pap

I'm totally avoiding this and I'd advise everyone else to - just buy the game!! everyone with a 360 is buying it regardless of any reviews so just wait til it's released - only a few more days lol!

Suprised the graphics weren't cranked up more for this game, it looks good yeah but i wouldn't say its on par with gears.

its not trying to be a gears in the visual department , never was and never will be simply due to the nature of the other two and art and style of the game.

OMG it doesn't look better than GOW, it must suck then

I think the graphics look great. Varied, colourful, interesting and detailed. It might not be the best ever, but then how cares if the gameplay is one of the best.

Ok for people are complaining about the graphics not being up to gears standard lets have a little scenario explanation for you.

Gears = tight corridor game, maybe small courtyard, with around 5-10 characters on screen

Halo 3 = large open space with closer to fifty enemies on screen, lots of vehicles both ground and air bound and a big **** off scarab, all running at 60FPS. I wonder why it doesn't look as good as GoW.

Personally id rather have lots of enemies, vehicles and silky smooth gameplay.

People always come off with this frame rate routine like the games locked to that and never dips beaneath it. Im willing to bet in some areas the game will probably dip a bit on the framerate expecially where explosions are concerned. Its rare for any game to keep a constant framerate with no variation form beginning to end.

Even gears had areas in game where the framerate dropped significantly (not cutscenes), if you let the first boss ram one of those pillars in the courtyard normally that caused a pretty hefty chugging for a few seconds.

Just by watching that HD review i think the graphics are awesome. Better than Gears in my opinion. I never thought gears was all that. Just shiny.

That review has hyped me right up now.

oh yeah of course, but if not 60 its very close to that. I know i never had slow down on the beta even in the most intense explosion filled gunfights.

I'm still torn between getting this and Skate.

I didn't play Halo 2 becuase I didn't really like the copy and paste level design of the first Halo. So I have no idea what's happening in the story.

Also I'm not a big console fps multiplayer fan due to me having issues with the control pad in competetive environments.

Just not sure at all.

Never got playing the beta :(

Saying that though when halo 2 was released i played the multi once and never again.

answer = get both

They are both must buys and you'll end up with both. Anyone who calls themselves a gamer will have halo 3. The multiplayer will consume a lot of lives and Bungie's after release support is second to none (well maybe Epic). If you really can't afford both now then just decide which you want more, if you dont get Halo 3 now you'll miss out on the first month or so excitement while everyone is getting used to the new game mechanics. Skate will be just as fresh whenever you get it, but after playing the demo I HAVE to have it on release day :D
