Gaming headset - what's recomended?

Hi guys,

need some advice for a pair of surround headphones with mic. I noticed the Razer set is on offer at OC at the moment and they seem pretty good. Anything else worth considering?

I think you should get yourself a decent hifi headphone ( without mic).
then spend 2 quid in your local shop for a cheap mic.
 
You're missing the point - I know they won't compair sonically with hifi cans - I've got a 7 grand hifi if I want to listen to music - I need some surround sound headphones to help me hear those b@stard terrorists sneaking up behind me when I play Counterstrike :)
 
I had / have some razer barracudas, these are the only real option tbh, but even so, they're in a box in my room and I'm wearing my Sennheiser HD595s instead.

It's basically a gimmick, decent EAX / stereo can give you almost the same if not better positioning.

As above, 5.1 headphones aren't even very good at positioning, a decent hifi set are better.

that review isnt biased at all...;);) ive had some trust headphones, and they are what he stated at the start, another cheap chinese product, 2 pairs broke on me

All companies have some products which fail to impress and while trust are not renowned as a quality brand I took a chance with this product after doing some research and I found these to be excellent for gaming and listening to music.:D
