Gaming Moments You Will Never Forget:

That twist in a certain Star Wars RPG.

Quite possibly the best crafted scene in any video game ever to date, and I've played all the greats, classics, etc. Those who know what I'm talking about are priveledged, the rest are unwashed heathens. :p

Could you all try and avoid writing big spoilers, try and either just say 'The twist in xxx' or at least put a big spoiler warning before it.

Certainly that's got to be my favourite twist in any game, it's great :)

Mine is the part in Deus Ex, where youve just been captured and you need to escape from an unknown complex. When you finally figured out how to get out, after finding Paul on his death bed, you realise that its Unatco is where the hide out is.

Never forget that. Brilliant :)
Second that. Actually, the entirety of Deus Ex was a memorable experience in itself.

Also, the first time stepping into the police station in RE:2. Oh, and finding out what happens when you point the shotgun upwards at zombies :)

Other additions:

-Roscoe Street Station in Max Payne
-The first time sneaking up on a guard in MGS and breaking his neck

CSS: 4 kills with 1 AWP shot on dust.

Raven shield: Clan match when i was on 56k. Was last man with M60 and got 4 guys out of 5, but had everyone dying laughing on comms.

Raven Shield: Clan match. On Peaks i said id create a diversion for the team and play rabbit. I ended up taking out 4 of the 5 guys with the FNC before the rest of my team had left the spawn.

Raven Shield: Again on Peaks in a match. I decided to try to lead all the guys down the hill on the map, that was the shortest match ive ever played, lasted about 10 seconds before we all got blitzed :(

Oh the RVS memories, i sooooooo miss that game :(

Finding the first monster (the mummy) on Dungeon Master on the Amiga.

Walking around a corner in Tomb Raider, hearing big footsteps, and coming face to face with the T-Rex. This was at around 2am in the dark. I think I screamed the house down.

Playing Quake 2 online for the very first time.

Playing Quake 3 CCTF in a league game, being the only base defender and holding it for almost the whole match. If I recall I had almost 90% rail at the end. I can't shoot a barn door at 10 paces nowadays :)

The whole of our clan almost being thrown out of I5 for coming back drunk and finding the pr0n channel on the overhead satellite TV :D

Just off the top of my head, one moment that I always remember fondly (and it's remembered by most people I know) is in Halflife, when you make your way across a flooded room, turn off the lightswitch to avoid being electrocuted and walk over to a grate in the wall........

Otherwise many many moments - I'll have to have a think about it :)

mmmmm - most of the scenes from thief 1 and parts of thief 2

almost beating napalm and cookies in ET as part of the [OcUK] clan - so close to smacking them down - remember it more than our few wins tbh

reminding myself with an N64 why i stopped playing consoles after getting red raw thumbs on metroid prime

getting respect in tactical ops - darn those modem days!

any late night session on ET with some of the gang from these forums - love playing with mates you dont even know other than their x fire or forum log in.

Wow there's quite a few.....

Zelda(Gameboy) - FINALLY collecting all 8 instruments and playing them in front of the egg.....

Goldeneye(N64) - pretty much the whole game. This is one game they NEED to remake...or at least put it on Xbox Arcade

Mario 64(N64) - Nuff Said

Ocarina of Time(N64) - First walking in Hyrule field - beautiful

Sonic The Hedgehog(Mega Drive) - Finishing the game - boy did that feel good

Alien VS Predator(Atari Jaguar) - 3 games in 1! You can be a Predator! You can be an Alien! I spent months on this one

Grand Theft Auto 3(PS2) - Realising just how massive this game is

Secret of Mana(SNES) - Defeating the first 'gigas' boss, which stumped me for about a year (playing it on and off) - realising this was only really the begining of the game (and WHAT a game it is...)

There are so many, I can't really think of any more...

Quite a few in Planescape:Torment.

On the Xbox (wrong forum I know) the best was finally aceing the warthog chase to complete the game :D

Aeris + Sephiroth's sword.

Loading the Asheron's Call beta client for the first time over 56k. Realising what an MMO was.
