Hi, I would like to buy some new headphones to be used for both gaming and listening to music. I would ideally like to spend no more than £100 and am hoping for some suggestions/advice. My requirements:
3.5mm functionality. I will definitely be needing to used the headphones in a wired state. Would be fine with them not being wireless.
Over-ears.
Some type of noise cancelling would be useful, be it passive or active.
Decent audio

Looking around, it seems that ANC isn't the best at this price point and will also effect the audio quality, so I'm leaning towards a pair that have a decent fit around the ears instead. Likewise, whist I like the idea of the surround sound features some offer for gaming, I'm not sure how necessary/effective such things are.

Because of the above reasoning and my lack of need for a mic, I have pencilled in either the Sennheiser HD 280 PRO or the SKULLCANDY Hesh ANC, but am also considering the Razer BlackShark V2.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the above pairs or on any others that might be suitable? Reviews seem to generally be of little value for obvious reasons. Thanks.

Will be plugging them into a gaming laptop (Legion 7) and an old, CRT tv. The noise consideration was mainly due to wanting to block out the laptop fans. but I have no idea if an over the ear set with audio playing would be sufficient to do that.

I have no need for a microphone. I used to use and like a pair of Goldring 150s, I'm not sure if there's anything with a similar audio profile out there, or if they were even any good :p

Edit: Generally listen to pop/rock
