Gaming Surfaces (Mouse Mats to us commoners)...

Just ordered the Boogie pad Swines, I was quite happy with my Razer Goliathus untill I read this thread. I resisted yesterday, wish i had not of as it cost me two quid more today.
Looking forward to my new mat. :D

Well, the Steelseries QCK+ is very good, well, much better than using my desk.

The traction gained by not using a pad definitely helps, especially in FPS.

It is MASSIVE.

I have not used the Boogie pad so cannot compare, but if it is equal/better than the QCK+, I would like to know?

Best mouse mat I've had or used so far, is Everglide Titan. Unfortunately they don't seem to be listed on OcUK any more but it's been the perfect mat for me so far.

Tbh their all just gimicks i mean they are mostly the same i.e brand x cloth is like brand y cloth and im not sure of the hard mouse pads but i expect its similar as in brand x is like brand y. They just market them as gaming pads or what not make em look pretty and sell for a small fortune.

Well thats what i think of mouse pads it might be true it might not but i cant see how they can be different.

As long as it glides ok as no bumps or crumbs on etc and plenty of space then it does what its meant to.

I picked a gel wrist belkin or whatever pad last time for to help with my wrist so it wasnt on the edge of my desk all the time, the gel leaked but was ok overall i guess if a little small. I used a desk before that and that was ok for gaming as i said i only got a mouse pad for the gel wrist rest mainly the cloth didnt really do anything for usage of a mouse except being soft i guess. I decided on the boogie because of the small belkin mouse pad and the fact of the leaky gel on it. Its nice its soft it is large it makes most of my surface on the desk a nice cushioned surface instead of hard wood. Im happy with it being that for a reason i bought it. It is in no way better or worse than a wooden desk or belkin mouse pad imo.

Im sure others will disagree but just thought id offer my opinion of mouse pads and what ive used and how their different or not.

WOW

Price is now £19.98 with only 4 left in stock so people are still purchasing them.

I guess prices have gone up owing to limited numbers and high demand.

If/when they get more in stock, the price may come down.

I went for the Steelseries SX Gaming Mouse Pad from here http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-002-ST&groupid=702&catid=32&subcat= a couple of weeks back.

Using it with my G700 and I have to say it take a little getting used to after the Everglide Giganta as its cold to the touch at first. But the Giganta had given good service but the surface war now wearing down after quite a few years of use.

Verdict? Absolutely a great buy for me. Definitely not cheap but the best mat I've ever had. Love it :D
