can animals be homosexuals like humans?

we need to breed with females to carry on the human race, same with most animals, however we still have homosexuals.

This is nothing against gays, its just a question

Yes. There have been various study which have concluded that indeed gay animals do exist. Also as of last year a transexual deer was found - Iirc, it has a female breasts and a male testicles.

I believe there are some animals (a species of monkey or something?) that are all gay for half the year, then they go straight for 6 months. So yes, homosexuality exists in many, many animals.

Correct. Some just have urges for the same sex. It doesn't understand that it can't reproduce and probably doesn't care.
