GB-K8NMF-9 Overclocking

slightly confused

when i set the CPU clock to 219 i can boot fine, been running the PC like this for ages in games etc...

if i set 1.83 on the memory deivider it says the Memory is running at 400MHz (correct) and the CPU will overclock by 200MHz (Correct)

but when i try and boot the PC up it just freezes at the BIOS and keeps restarting over and over.

so i can run the CPU overclocked by 200MHz without the memory divider but i can't run it overclocked by 200MHz with a memory devider, what the hell is going on.

I'd like to get my CPU back up to 2.6GHz (running stable in my last motherboard)

also on a another note: does anyone know why enableing IDE channels on this motherboard makes the PC run generally slower

If you're talking about the Gigabyte board that I have, and I think you might be, then it's most likely due to the passively cooled chipset. Getting a fan may help, although I haven't tried this.
