Gbt 7950 283£.Is it worth it now when gtx 670 is out?

Well IMO the 7950/7970 are still very competitively priced, especially if you get a deal with the 3 free games which you can sell. Cuda is non existant on these 670 cards and if physx doesnt float your boat then you wont miss it either way.

If I was you I would wait a couple of weeks to see any development on the nvidia stutter issue and if a card comes upf on special offer in the meantime, go for it.

One thing is for sure though, you have to overclock the ATI cards to get your bang for buck, if you intend leaving at stock I would get a non reference 670 but do your homework first and dont rush into buying anything. Enjoy your new card whatever you go for.

The 670 tops the 7950 @ stock i wish people would stop pointing out that if you get blah blah clock on a 7950/70 then is beats nvidia hands down when you could just reverse the same argument and go on to say that the 7950/7970 gets smashed hands down when the 670/80 is overclocked too blah blah, it just seem's atm that nivdia have released cards which at stock are on average a few fps faster then ati (somthing that obviously varies from game to game).

If you want the honest truth nvidia have been releasing good quality driver's for along time now, now i am not in anyway saying that they are perfect driver's and that when compared to ati's driver's they appear to have been hand crafted by naked deity's while ati's have been hand crafted by slightly confused dolphins who think that reintroducing old error's is a great way too help people.

I am however saying that nvidia are producing better quality driver's then ati and that that can be one of the biggest deciding factor's when you are looking for a new graphics card as it is no good buying a faster card if that card is not going to work properly in your games.

This is coming from a ati/nvidia single and multiple gpu user.

People who buy from overseas are either very clever or very stupid. Clever meaning they know a great deal about components and stupid meaning they know nothing about components.

Personally, I would rather buy from the UK, just in case a fault occurs and I have to return it.

You're right mate.

When I'm buying electronic(gpu) staff I compare price In EU,UK is part of EU,but if you compare your prices with for example Germany, one think coming to my mind:RIP OFF BRITAIN .why do you pay more than french, germans ?

I'd spend the extra on the 670, yes if you can overclock the 7950 high enough it will outperform it but in reality a lot if not most will just put a conservative overclock on the card making the 670 the better choice. In my eyes like people have said, prices will have to drop on the AMD side slightly to make them worthwhile choices over nVidias counterparts.

Smashed hands down isn't an accurate term at all, I agree it's more sometimes a few fps better sometimes not depending on game
