No it shouldn't and this is exactly what's wrong with the PVP side of the game. There are other weapons to use besides rolling around with your shotgun, but all anybody ever does is charge at you with them and honestly it gets boring after 5 years and 3 games.

The sawn-off and retro are not over powered, they are just an effective alternative to your precious gnasher and that's why you don't like it. The sawn-off is cheap definately, but it's far from over powered when you have to be in spitting distance to get the kill with it and as it's already been mentioned it has a huge reload time between shots, so it's far from being over powered.

If they were truely over powered they would dominate everyone and everything in the game which they simply do not.

No, whats wrong with PvP on GoW3 is the sheer number of people that hide behind the nearest wall and cross lancer the whole game making moving around the map impossible. There is *nothing* more boring than that.

Like I said my issue with the sawn-off is the zero need to aim with it. Yes you have to be in melee range but its a guarenteed kill if your pointing in vaugly the right direction, two if your lucky.
The retro *does* dominate It simply downs you too quickly at close range, and at long range its still more powerfull in bursts than the hammerburst or lancer on full auto.

As mad as it sounds I actually think the game would be better with the Gnasher removed and just keep the sawn off for close range or keep the gnasher and give it one or two shots then the reload time of the sawn off.

It is annoying getting dropped from distance while roadie running away from a shot gun. A one or two shot reload would cure this and make sure the gnasher is only used for close up.

I think epic have realised this time around that they are not going to get new players involved in the game unless they cure the gnasher fest the game has become. I think the new Gears will be changed a fair bit, it has to. Only horde and TDM has anything like enough players most nights.

I've got used to it now and can hold my own sometimes with the gnasher but I can see why players wouldn't put the time in and if MW3 hadn't sucked monkey balls I probably wouldn't have either.

I'm just glad that Guardian is back! The game mode is just too good!

I hate using the Gnasher, hated using it in GeOW2. So I just tend to stick to using a sawn-off to cover my ass if anyone gets too close. And just burst people down with the retro, or the lancer.

I try so hard to like the hammerburst, but it's just ****e

If the stopping power was just a little stronger on it I would love it!

But isn't that the whole point of the cover system in this game? It would only be an issue in TDM. They can't hide behind cover the whole game in guardian, CTL, KOTH etc.

Strangely I mostly only ever hear complaints about how over powered the hammerburst is, especially with people using turbo pads.

It changes week to week on epic forums which is the weapon of choice to whinge about.

No. Though expect a leaflet for a manual.

Also if you dont buy the seaon pass which is 4 lots of dlc (1 single player, 3 multiplayer/horde maps/skins) then last I knew there was only one playlist for non purchasers to play on dedicated servers, though this was a fair while ago so I'm sure someone will know better than I.

Played Execution last night and actually got on a dedicated server! Although I was playing on my own and came across a clan who were very good so I got my arse kicked
