Navi doing quite well here, not sure about the Nvidia driver used as to if they running optimised for this game but Joker was able to get a hold of driver 19.9.1 for testing before release.

It's a console game. Probably written with new Xbox in mind. Of course it will run well on amd.
5700xt is no slouch

Vega 64, Vega 56, RTX 2080 SUPER, RTX 2070 SUPER and RTX 2070 are missing on benchmark chart.

Forza 4 was doing well on the 5700xt until nvidia updated the drivers, so prolly same will happen with this

No it's just working better on AMD hardware generally, the 580 is matching a 1660 ti And looking at the 2070 performance it will probably be fixed with driver updates

Not just that, No 2070 and stopping at 1440p? Why this means nothing at all show the 4k and 2070 super. The higher you go the more the Navi falls behind it looks like at 4k.

1080p 1% lows are better on the 2060 than anything else. Seems a bit odd.

my own numbers recorded in my thread at 1440p for gears 5.

5700XT
Stock Clock -1MHZ with undervolt to 955mv. Fans on auto approx 1500-2100rpm
Note: actual boost clock at near stock is approx 1852mhz.

100% PL - 1904mhz/875 - 74.1 fps - 13.5ms frame time 99th percentile 16.1ms


2070S FE
Note: actual boost clock at stock is approx 1935mhz.
100% PL - 1770mhz/7000 - 82.9fps - 12.06ms frame time - 99th percentile 20ms

The game is out in 20 minutes, I'll quickly benchmark my 2080ti at 4k and 1440p and report back.

Please be aware that Nvidia has not released a game ready driver for the game, that driver is about 4 days away

Yeah so Joker's numbers are just weird. I can only assume something is really wrong with his PC or he is using the wrong drivers

Here is my 2080ti results

4k, 65.8fps average, 57fps low

1440p, 121fps average, 100fps low

I have edited OP till we see more number as looking over the results they do seem odd.

I not honestly sure if joker says he even used the built in benchmark for his testing.

The 5700XT is great for the money but picking out things like this and expecting them to actually be true is just asking for trouble.

Also being that it's the only AMD card in the list, it would be impossible to tell if it was "Navi" optimised at all anyway.

Guys remember if you are benching this game to set minimum framerate to none or 30.


I see a lot of the results are 57fps, this is because you have minimum framerate at 60 and then it downscale when it goes below.
