Not really so I guess you win, this is very annoying :(

:(

I'll give you 5 more minutes mate, just spam the hell out of everyone on live whos not in the tournament

EDIT - Gonna have to call it mate, I hate to do this as I'd rather play the match too, but if it drags another week, I'll have to call it off

So just waiting on the last quarter final to be played

If it isnt by midnight tonight, they'll both forfeit and we'll play the final midweek

No thats totally fine by me mate

I would rather have played the two matches to get there, but people keep saying they dont want it to drag on anymore, and the trouble we've had with setting up any matches, I just thought people wanted to get on with it

But thats a good idea, Team 6 would you be up for a game midweek?

I think the fundimental flaw with the tournament is that it is being organised on OcUK. This forum imo has a long track record of people signing up for clans, tournaments or other gaming related activites. They will show 24 hours of extrieme interest, and then forget about it completely the next day.

If we organise any future tournaments in GOW then I think there should be team captians, and it is thier responsability to recruit a team. After that they enter their team into the compition.

We should have a pre-defined gaming schedule, and the games occur on that schedule. If your team does not turn up, you forfeit the compition. (or you can fight with whoever you have).

IMO it has to be completely draconian.

The other thing is we probably need more teams. A Champions League would be good.
ie 4 teams in a league 6-8 leagues in the compition, the first and second placed teams go through to the next round, we then whittle the teams down until we have a finals.

It would never work with a tournament that big though

People would lose interest far too quickly, matches would get delayed, abandoned etc etc Thats why I opted for a small Quarters/Semis/Final set up, thinking it would be quick and easy, and it would be over before people lost interest

Was obviously wrong

So whats happening with regards to the tournament tomorrow?

Are Team 6 and 7 going to have a fight?

If not and team 7 do not turn up with a full team (3-4 players) then IMO we should anounce team 4 as the OCUK GRAW Champions, and team 6 the runners up.

Ok you can be GRAW champs and we'll be GOW champs :p

Dont worry we'll be there

Dunno why you think we would be GRAW champs my post plainly states GOW. However we would also pwn at GRAW as long as Ceeg the wall hacker did not enter.

Your post said GRAW before you ninja edited it, so dont act like that :p

So where were you?!? I knew you guys wouldn't show.

I think its only fair to award Team 4 Gold and team 6 Silver.

You could have at least let us know you were not planning on showing up. We waited about for at least 30 min where we could have had about 3-4 games in that time.

I said last week that we had effectively played the final against team 6, even as far as congradulating them for comming second.

I've had problems with my connection tonight so couldnt get on, ntl has been down all evening, having to use someone else's wireless net from down the road

And Krono whats your problem? We showed up for our match, not on one occasion, but twice, both times our opposition didnt show, so we got a place in the semis, the other two teams didnt bother showing so there was no one else we can play in the semis who's fault is that, certainly not ours

Secondly, I advertised as to say that we should play team 6 like you suggested, they didnt say anything or get back to me, so again who's fault is that?

Stop being so stuck up about it, I organised the darn thing, I didnt do that for the sake of not bothering and doing it with the intention of not showing up to my own matches

Of course I'd like the chance to play, considering we didnt get to play a single match in the tournament

But if you want to call it a victory because we were unable to make/didnt turn up then thats totally fair and understandable
