Geforce 301.24-beta (GTX480/570/580 Series now get FXAA + Adaptive Vsync)

If the GTX 580 was £199 i would buy one....As i need one for my HTPC..

As i feel paying £300 out now for an old last gen GPU card would be crazy

I'm slightly confused, when is TXAA coming out and is it 680 only?
or have they renamed that FXAA again now?

I'm going to try turning off all in game AA and just running FXAA from the drivers in BF3 and see how it compares anyway

TXAA has to be implemented by game developers, and yes, it is exclusive to the 600 series.

The first game with it should be The Secret World, followed by Borderlands 2. In the long-term, Unreal Engine 4 will include TXAA as part of its dev kit, so expect to see its use grow massively in the coming years.

Just for info, in case anyone cares, but I went from the latest official drivers to these and in TrackMania 2 - Canyon, I've gained approx 6-10 fps on the top gfx preset, and I've noticed a lot less tearing, so it was worth the download :D

(I'm running the GTX470 atm)

Wow. Just turned fxaa and adaptive vsync on, runs very smooth in bf3 in 2560*1440 all high msaa off? I like.

AO and FXAA seem to be "Not supported for this application" for BF3. Any ideas? This is with 301.10.

Its what it also says in this driver but i just turned it on in global settings! Seems to work... I think

First tests with new driver on Heaven benchmark. Strange the Max fps goes down but score goes up. Also weird that when I had my CPU clocked at 3.6ghz I got a score of 1159

Heaven's max and min fps figures aren't very meaningful - you can get random stutter at the start which can pull min fps down more than usual and on some of the scene transitions you can get fairly random max fps within the slight break in rendering.

Setting FXAA on globally is not usually a good idea - its best used with applications that support it internally or forced on for specific applications that you either know work with it well or don't support MSAA - globally forced it can cause some unintended blurry text in some applications, etc.
