GeForce 7900GT and GeForce 7900GTX

If the 7800's were anything to go by, the GTX will be higher clocked, and have more shaders/pipelines, probably 1 more shader, and 4 more pipelines.

I have the feeling the GTX is simply a higher clocked version. Both have 24 pipes, the GTX has a higher core speed than the GT. That's all I can seem to find out.

If thats true it'll be like the 6800 GT/Ultra where a simple overclock can turn the GT into a GTX saving about £50 - £100 :D:D:D

I wouldn't bet on it.

GT is supposedly 450/1300

and the GTX 650/1600

Would need some OC to reach those speeds ;)

Bare in mind that the 7900 GTX 512 will come in at £393.98 and the GT 256 at £237.09 - there's really nothing in it - except oh real life performance - lets wait and see, because at the moment <waves hands around in wavey motion> nobody knows..

and real life performance with 'the way its meant to be played' nvidia cards is genereally hassle free. its not always about the power, if it runs bf2 without any glitches id take it any day over ati...but then ive not the will or the funds to 'try out' the competition...can only go off the scare stories me mate fills me with lol

ok im a bit of an nvidia fan!
