is this

BFG GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail

compatible with

Zalman VF900-LED Quiet Copper VGA Cooler

because when u look at the pic of the 8800, it has plastic/metal/copper shroud and i dont think the fan will fit ?

is there any need anyway ie is the 8800 stock cooler the best ?

dont really want to watercool yet.....

As far as I'm aware, it isnt compatible I'm afraid. The stock cooler is supposed to be pretty good from what I've read.

Nothing wrong with the stock cooler, im running my 8800 GTX @ 630/2000 57c and still very quiet.

You must have good cooling mine runs between 60-66'c at stock idle and I think this is the norm. However the stock cooler if very good but it will spin up under load if you have poor airflow.
