I can see 5770's crashing in price to kill this card, they are already £105 new and especially as the 6 series refresh is not miles away.

Maybe, but if that was the thinking, why have they not done this to the 5850/70 prices ?

So what was it the competition of exactly? The 4850/5750/9800GTX/GTS250?.

GTS 450 - 5750 (6750)
GTS 455 - 5770 (6770)
GTX 460 - 5830 (6830)
GTX 470 (475) - 5850 (6850)

Think the GTX450 has to be at least on the same level as 5750. Don't think they will take a step backward and being slower than GTS250...as GTS250 is actually around the same level as 4850/5750, whereas the 5670 is SLOWER than the 9800GT/4770.

Sorry that was a typo i did indeed mean the 5750, not the 5670. I just futzed the name lol
