So a 5700G is actually faster....

The benchmarks I've seen are a real mess, I think the 5700G is somewhere between a RX 550 and RX 560, but sometimes slower than both (depending on game and the memory speed), so I'd guess that the 1630 is consistently faster, given it performs somewhere between a 1050 Ti and 1050 (the 1050 is similar to the RX 560).

None of the new gpus for £200 or under are worth entertaining for gaming. Anyone looking in that price range is better off hitting the used market.

If you absolutely have to buy new, then it seems this would be a much better option at £200

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £199.99 (includes delivery: £0.00)

Yes at under £200 it is far far superior for gaming compared to the GTX 1630 and RX 6500 XT.

In general the sub £200 market is now dead to NVIDIA and AMD, their are APU's which can fill that gap.

I agree but it's a sad state of affairs at the budget end of the GPU market and it seems manufacturers are in a race to the bottom with their new hardware. Prices go up at the high end whereas performance goes down every gen at the low end.

Not sure of any other tech where you actually get less for your money every couple of years. Phones for example under £200 are so much better than 5 years ago.

What a joke from nvidia. On pre-order for £179.99. On average 57% slower than the RX 6400. :o

I was watching HUB do their big game benchmark of the A380, they used that opportunity, again, to bang on about how much they hate the RX 6500 and RX 6400, ironically in an A380 review  They also had a GTX 1630 in that review, never said anything about it, nope, nothing to see here.

The thing is because there is nothing else that is even as good as the RX 6400 / 6500 in its price range they end up recommending more expensive GPU's or alternatively used market GPU's that are 6 years old, cost about the same and are no better at best.

AMD brought out a sub $200 GPU, it was not what they wanted, they jumped the gun and hated on it to such an extent they have backed themselves in to a corner of not being able to admit they got it wrong for looking like the couple of clowns they are.

They are telling people to buy products that are worse just to save face.

The thing with the 6500XT / 6400 is its not really in the same price range as you have the added cost of also buying a pcie 4.0 board and CPU else you throttle performance whereas the A380 / 1630 you can just toss into an old pcie 3.0 from 6 years ago

Yet TPU have the 6400 at 157% Vs the 1630.
And in TPU's 6500 PCIe scaling tests
Running in PCIe 3.0 lost 13%

So I'd say despite all that's wrong with the 6400 and 6500 as a desktop GPU, even on old systems it is still a better option than 1630, and the A380 whose performance is all over the place.

i wouldn't buy any of these cards as they're all rubbish and an insult to gamers.
