Avoid altogether if you're using an Asus motherboard. Otherwise it's ok.

I have it and an ASUS motherboard..

Though it is underclocked at 667 not 800. But my FSB is 1333 and I like it when it says Ratio 1:1

And at that price I might get 2 more sticks..

... just ordered...

Why avoid it, works very good on Asus, have it overclocked to 900 Mhz 4-4-4-12 timmings, it's good ram

Worked fine on my old P5B Deluxe. CPU FSB @ 500Mhz, ram 1000Mhz 5-5-5-15 2.2v

think the problem is with the 650i ASUS moatherboard, i've got one and its a right pain (4gb vista 64bit) you do indeed need to underclock the RAM (if you want 4GB), although there is a BIOS update but i'd guess it makes no difference (not tried it yet)

It's suspected to have compatibility problems with Asus memory controllers. Works fine most of the time but a disaster for some users.

There was a huge thread on this stuff a while back. Turned out all the people with problems were using Asus boards.
