Gents deodorant manufacturer develops VR headset. (Lynx)

been patiently waiting for the annoucement :D

with any luck they've gone with the TCL panels and made the profile for 140 fov (option of 160 would be nice as well)......stick a displayport on and my credit card might be coming out tonight

if they do, will sit between a quest 3 and bigscreen for clarity which is absolutely fine imho

Budget conscious buyers are still going to opt for the Meta Quest. whilst PCVR enthusiasts will opt for the Steam Frame (barring any unforeseen issues with it).

I can’t see here being much of a market for this unless the lenses/optics are substantially better than its competitors.

I'd consider this if the tech, well mostly the FOV is massively improved over a Q3, and it had display port, and the cost was reasonable.. Although i'd still keep the quest, i'd use this wired headset for sim racing.

meh, not for me

Yeah, i think beyond the Quest 3 and Steam Frame that there's a gap in the market for a more niche and expensive higher-FOV/ higher-resolution wired headset aimed at the sim racing/flight crowd.

I'm not sure this is going to be that headset based on the specs though.

just finished watching. i though it was an interesting presentation.
no DP that i could see.
BUT its a fully open headset, they are suggesting you could use their parts to make your own.

the one thing im not sure is the software store, that might be the killer.

im interested enough i would consider purchasing at the moment.

the chap was clearly passionate and honest or appeard to be in presenting.
