Getting insured for one month

Hi all,

I am moving to another country in a couple of months but my insurance expired just over a week ago. Since I am moving house within the UK before moving country I need my car for one more month before I can sell.

I managed to renew my insurance but have to cancel within 14 days to avoid a fee of over £100.

DOes anyone know of any companies that are willing to insure for less than 12 months or have reasonable cancellation policies? I remember when you could get insured for 24 hours.. this is ridiculous.
