Can you think of any jobs in real life where you get paid to troll/argue?

All I can think of is lawyers and perhaps some journalists. There has to be more than that?

Any profession where you have a responsibility to someone other than your employer e.g. doctors, lawyers, teachers, engineers etc will be required to argue the case for whom they have the responsibility to. I do wish people would stop over-using the word troll :(

Estate agents and letting agents.

Yeah but do they know they are trolling? Most of them just seem to be full of themselves and take it seriously.

But with a lawyer he can know it's a load of tosh, but he'll argue it anyway, for money.

You could work for the government internet propaganda department like Israel has and just troll the **** out of people who dont agree with the all-knowing-always-right government. They probly let you have some cool toys to play with that make your job a lot easier.

Maybe there should be...

I lawyer will argue it if the client insists on putting it forward even if it is tosh

we get paid to troll other sites. Go on, make it a hostile environment and tell them how great our sites are.

Not something I could do but some people I work with get paid to do it.

Well, being a quantity surveyor I can assure you that I am basically paid to argue all day.... certainly feels that way at times anyway.

Aren't most newspapers like Daily Mail and The Sun just glorified trolls? Saying what they want, when they want and whoever they want to say it about - just to provoke a reaction and in turn, sell papers...
