Cause i'm a poor old ***** will this do for playing crysis?

Sapphire ATI Radeon X1950 Pro 512MB GDDR3 AGP version

Thats backed up by a 3gb:eek: P4 and 2gb of DDR ram

Bet your all envious now

Well, my dad has a P4 3.6 single core 1gb ddr2 667mhz and X1950pro, i wouldnt say its amazing but its certianly playable guys....(res @ 1440x900 med settings no AA no shadows)

i beleave the 8800 gt can be had for about £130 odd, , if you can find it you would be better going for that:)

People keep saying this but i am yet to find it anywhere for less than around 150 and you are looking at 2 weeks before realistically being able to get one. I think you will get one for about 140 at the end of nov.

HD3850 AGP comes out soon remember ;) That would certainly seem like it would be worth waiting for when it comes to AGP performance cards

Does it actually? my system can just about play in medium settings... is that right?

Yes it does, it's about 40 FPS when nothing is happening, drops to around 20 when buildings blow up & stuff, 25-30'ish when fighting the soldiers. Not using any AA by the way.

If your playing at the same resolution as each other i'd be inclined to say your performances are about right, theres not a great deal of difference between the performance of your cards in current games like HL2, about 10fps difference tops.

So my rickety old P4 which clocks easy to 3.2 together with 2gb of Mushkin perf and an x800xt pe should handle it sort of ok....i'll grab the demo

My old AGP System played the demo fine on all medium settings @ 1680x1050.

P4C 2.8 @3.35GHz
2GB PC 3200 (@466MHz IIRC)
GF 7900GS 256mb

No m8, they are out there for that money and you will have to wait about 4 days.
