6.5 to the shoulder!

Are these like the other massive cows that were posted awhile ago, Blue Something Cow?

Should we really be bringing species back from extinction? I feel that creates that went extinct, went extinct for a reason, and our world has evolved as it has, because of that. I have a pathetic understanding of evolution, but I know that we're all as we are, and our world as it is, because of everything that's happened to date. Changing it could be dodgy. :(

The main reason for their extinction was Man.

So why shouldn't we bring them back?
We shouldn't bring them back because the world has undergone four hundred odd years (an extremely insignificant amount of time in the grand scale of things, I know) of evolution since the breed went extinct. The world has changed and evolved around that animal's extinction, surely bringing it back could present problems of sorts?

A lot of species are extinct because of man going out of control and acting like utter savages with no thought for the natural cycle of things. Yeah you could argue that the effect of humans are indeed a part of this cycle, but I don't think so. Building a dam on the river that contains the world's only Baiji dolphins, or hunting the dodo for sport isn't quite the same thing.

NO!

You are an animal and part of the "natural cycle of things"

Maybe you should read the rest of the post and try to provide a slightly better rebuttal than that? Bit low standard for a Tefal post there.

It is retarded to (following my example) build a dam killing off the last of the Baiji and then shrugging it off as 'meh oh well, just natural cycle of things mate'

I knew I had seen Aurochs before.

So what about all the dogs, cats, cows, sheep, pigs, goats and countless other animals that have been completely changed by man through breeding?

Also I think nitefly will be quietly sobbing in the corner when he sees this thread ><

Are the banji of any real use?

Do they provide some vital link in a massive chain or are they just another redundant cog?

Killing all the plankton -yes ****ing retarded idea and would have horrific consequences.

Killing off some random "higher" creature not so much.

The earth has survived perfectly well with creatures exterminating others for millennia, it's not going to change because you killed a cute wickle dolphin.
