Here are some benchmarks of the new card.

The card is clocked at 900MHz at stock settings.

Without any hassle the card went straight in at 1GHz on the core.
The fan was left on auto and was silent throughout the benchmark

here are our results using the settings from our heaven benchmark leaderboard

Hi there

These Power Editions as were calling them are very special, they are outfitted with HIS best performaning and quietest cooler they do and is only found on the 6970 cards.

However OcUK has negotiated a deal where HIS build exclusively for OcUK and fit the 6970 IceQ cooler too 6950 and 6870 cards, these are called Power Editions and are exclusive to OcUK only Worldwide!

In our testing on the 6870 the card ran flawlessy at 1000MHz core, we did this as a quick test to make sure the cooler was operating properly and it clearly is with a maximum GPU temperature of 64c and all hot air exhausted out of the case. Even more surprisingly is the fan never spun up, the card remained completely silent through all testing.

We feel with more voltage, fan at full speed we'd be seeing 1100MHz plus on core speed and temperatures sub 60c, which is a huge achievement.

These cards come out of the box at stock speeds, overclocking is down to the user and they are also supplied with Dirt 3 and Deus Ex.

So only available from OcUK grab yours now:-

bah wrong 6950 ><

Other than the cooler whats the diff between this adn teh £25 cheaper
http://overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-036-HS

Does it have the Bios Switch?
Any Idea if these ones are succesfully flashable to 6970s?

Also do they come with MiniDP>DP adapters?

Difference is just the cooler which is a lot better, plus the price difference will be less when those cards come from special offer.

With current exchange rates not in our favour this past week its made landed cost go considerably up especially on more expensive items such as graphics cards like this.

lol, £180 for a HD6870.....

Relative to the reasonable price on the HD6950 why is the HD6870 so much? (Exchange rate fluctuations would have affected both cards in this instance...) *must resist talking about hedging*

We make a lot more money on the 6870 is the simple answer. :)

Shall look at putting it on offer on weekly offers tomorrow.

You yourself must know that they aren't worth that much though Gibbo! I can't see many paying that when you can get pretty much a better card for the same money!

My 5850's have stock coolers, I never once thought to change them as there just wasn't the need!

They are on TWO at £158 which is a fair price for a card with a 6970 cooler with great OC ability.
