Gigabyte 670 Windforce stock boosts?

The EVGA gtx 670 FTW will have a power limit of 145% from what i ve been reading. Would it be safe to flash the bios assuming we can get our hands on it and you think it would be worth it?

You have read my mind, the Zotac bios isn't offering much over the windforce bios, though I have managed to get the power consumption above 100% in heaven (Windforce wouldn't go above 78%) but this is probably down to the Zotac AMP only being a 4 phase card while the windforce is 5 phase.

the differences you're seeing are just down to how the bios reports things... you won't get voltage to read as 1.2v regardless of what bios you run without physically modding the card

1.175v in bios = 1.21v actual voltage (if you hooked up a voltmeter), to get it above this you'll need to do something akin to that kingpin mod using the evga power board

100% true :)

Though DCUII owners might have an easier time, had a look earlier and it seems allot simpler to get upto 1.4v with a volt mod on those cards.

The one thing a custom bios will bring to the table is a higher stock boost.

Interesting, I have just bought two of these (Direct CU II) so I will have to do some more research into that. :)

I was going to go for two of the Windforce 3x cards but once I factored in postage they ended up £50 more than the pair of Direct CU's I ended up with.
