A friend is having a few probs with his motherboard.

Both his keyboard and mouse stop functioning.

From when he got the system he has had problems where he would be typing and all of a sudden it would stop so he would unplug the keyboard and plug it back in and it would work again, now today while i was on ts with him his mouse stopped working, he could move the cursor but not click, since he has had the system hes had stability issues with gaming so its making me wonder if the boards borked.

At first i thought it was a faulty keyboard but with the mouse aswell there must be something wrong.

Hes running the mouse and keyboard through the usb ports.

His card is running hot so that might explain crashes in games but the stuff with the keyboard and mouse ive never heard of, and they are not wireless

His cpu is overclocked and stable @ 3.2ghz (19hrs orthos stable) 1.4v

His full spec is

E6600
4gb of Geil ull ram
Corsair 620w psu
Vista 64
Mobo see above

The mouse and keyboard are generic stuff.

Any ideas guys desperate now.

my ds3p has 4 usb ports on the back has he tried the mouse and keyboard in all of them ?

is the 4gb 4x1gb or 2x2gb, if 4x1 take out a couple of sticks.
