Is this a good power supply?

I've been told to go for at least 650w and this looks a good price and a good brand?

I was looking at the Coolmaster masterwatt 650 or Corsair VS650,this is cheaper and semi modular as well

Im a novice at all this but learning fast

Thanks

The Superflower Leadex III Gold 550w is on offer at the moment and for just under £60 you are not going to find a better quality psu at that price. It is fully modular meaning that you only plug in the actual cables that you need, gold rated for efficiency, has a single 12v rail of 549.6w and has a 7 year warranty. It has a three position fan switch enabling you to set the fan to run silently to very quiet. I have the 750w version and it is a excellent psu. The 550w version is more than enough for your pc both now and when you upgrade the gpu as long as you don't go for something that draws silly power such a GTX1080ti/2080ti or Vega64.

If you want a bit more power then the Bitfenix Formula Series 650w/750w are very good budget psu's. The downside is that they have fixed cables and a slightly shorter warranty at 5 years. They are not as good quality as the Superflower posted above but they are very good for the price.

If you want one of the best 650w psu's you can get for a cracking price then OCUK has the Seasonic Prime Ultra Snow Silent 650w with a massive £72 price reduction. At £92.99 it may seem like a lot of money but you are getting one of the best quality psu's money can buy plus it has a huge 12 year warranty.
