Gigabyte DS3P v1.0 - how to boot from USB pen drive?

hi guys

i want to try something out and for it to work, i need to be able to boot from a USB pen drive

there are a few options with my mobo

USB-FDD, USB-HDD, USB-ZIP etc

i have tried them all and i cant get it to boot.

my usb has bootable files on it so no reason why it shouldn't work

i would have thought a top class mobo like, would support it. I have also flashed the mobo to latest bios (F10), still to no avail. Also "Legacy USB storage detect" is Enabled.

any ideas?

Does it list the USB drive in the hard drive boot order section (not the boot device section)?

dude!!!

you are a star! i looked in the boot order bit and it was listed as No4.

moved it to 1 and rebooted and it booted via usb
