Help please, I'm building a new rig.

case:Coolermaster Praetorean 730 & Antec true power 480 watt power supply
mobo:Gigabyte GA-K8N PRO SLI

I was originally contemplating using a 4200x2 with is mobo (Gigabyte GA-K8N PRO SLI) at clock speeds. I have no experience of clocking and I thought this could be a good backbone for a fast and quiet pc(no whine from the mobo chipset as the mobo uses passive heatsinks) Now I'm completely confused! and my confusion stems from this. I've just read a thread in the cpu forum, that the 3800x2 retail is the better chip for value and overclocking, with most clocking at around 2.5 gig.

Has anyone used this mobo or similar (passive heatsinks) for overclocking a 3800x2?

or, have I bought a turkey!

Ive just got this mobo and I cant pass 210 fsb, after doing some scouting around on the net loads of people are having the same problem. I think the pci lock doesnt work and that causes the lock up anything over 210 fsb but the board is stable and quiet if you dont overclock.
