Hi , what type of ram should i load on , also i required 16gb of ram.
its with the combination of my very expensive intel i7-980x.

I wouldn't take too much notice of the QVL.

There'll be a shed load of RAM which isn't listed as the motherboard manufacturer can't test all the available RAM with every motherboard and the list also soon becomes out of date.

It's very rare to find RAM which won't work as long as it fits the specifications supported by the motherboard.

FYI 16GB would presumably have to run in dual channel mode, not triple channel, so you won't be getting the absolute best performance out of your "very expensive intel i7-980x".
