The forums seem to promote the DS3P quite highly but nobody has stood up for the P5B Deluxe!.

There is only like 34-40 quid between them.

Is there much between them for overclocking, temperature, features ?

Has anyone used the wifi cause im in desperate need of a better wireless card which is making me lean more towards the P5B?

Is it better to get the DS3P then buy a new Wifi card?

Thanks

Hardly any P5B-Deluxe users spend time on the forums as there too busy playing games, editing video or whatever it is that somebody does with their systems, I notice that a lot of DS3 users like to spend a lot of time playing with the board, updating the BIOS, fiddling etc.

I've been using a P5B-Deluxe for a few months and I give it top marks, very nice board, looks good, nice layout, good BIOS, what more do you want?

Make sure read the comments of people using the wi-fi on the P5B, have read on a few forums that's it suffers from drop outs, the fix seems to be to go out and buy a new wireless card. Doesn't mean that it's bad as obviously the results people get will depend on the wireless setup in their home but worth bearing in mind.

I don't use the Wifi so don't know about that but to be fair Wifi is still very much in its beta stage even though its released so I would imagine that would explain why its not perfect, I doubt any Wifi is perfect?

Netgear routers don't like walls, had similar problems with a number of netgear routers despite stll having about 40% singnal.

Pay a bit more, get Linksys, much better :)

I would have thought that most people using more than one PC at home would be running WiFi and for most people it works flawlessly - just like a cable. If you check out this thread here (about 3 posts in by Dissent) there appears to be a fix for this, but it sounds a bit odd in that it's the same driver you are downloading, just the unsigned version. Still, if it works....
