Hi all.
I have the P34w v3, upgraded the ram to 16gb kingston and a Samsung E850 Msata SSD.

Getting 8856 on 3dmark11 benchmark tests which is fine.

However the fan noise is driving me mad, most of the time now I am running in Eco mode which scales down the clock speed.

Has anybody else running this machine managed to change the bios or over ride the fans, I appreciate the fans are there to stop the device over heating however I am in a cool lab and running a cooling pad underneath, CPU temps never reach over 85c.
Gigabyte should have a bios setting that allows you to go stealth/eco without scaling back the components unless in extreme temp situations, I personally accept the risk.

Any ideas?

Hiya, this only allows you to adjust the fan speeds and at the sake of CPU/GPU performance, its what I am using right now.

What I want and what I am happy to do is reduce the fan speeds whilst allowing the machine to run hotter. I have a thermal pad I am using and the CPU temp isn't raging and to be honest im happy for it to run a little warm :P

The fan noise is so loud its making me consider changing the laptop

Hiya, its loud most of the time I want to do anything gaming wise, its fine when I am on my own etc but if I want to game in bed for example then its a no go :P
