Hello All,

IF YOU OWN A GIGABYTE P67/H67 MOTHERBOARD AND HAVE NOT FILLED THE FOLLOWING FORM. I SUGGEST YOU DO!

*********************************
GIGABYTE P67/H67 APPLICATION FORM

http://uk.gigabyte.com/press-center/news-page.aspx?nid=988
*********************************

Ok Well Since January we have all known about the SATA 3Gb/s problems which affect Some* ( * = Dont know the Exact Statistics) motherboards utilising the P67 and H67 Chipset.

Intel told us all that we would recieve new B3 Revision motherboards to replace the Faulty B2 Revisions.

The Main purpose of this Thread is to Get the Application form to everyone as well as to see what everyone has heard back from Gigabyte and what actions are taking place to replace *Your* Motherboard.

Ive Filled in the form and havent heard a Thing from gigabyte yet. :(

I'd like everyone to post their experience with this Recall (Gigabyte Motherboards) including what they have heard from Gigabyte/Partners so that we can keep everyone who has a Gigabyte *67 Chipset board up to date.

Afterall... Were all in the same boat!

I registered but also didn't hear back from Gigabyte. I might email customer support and see what they're saying.

I have also emailed the retailer (Saturday) and no reply either.
Not a happy bunny

Same here , i also emailed gigabyte rma last week and said "can i have my board now please" , as stock was arriving in the etailors, and they replied it will be "April"

edit Quote :- According to Intel’s production plan, the 6 series B3 stepping chipset will be available during April, 2011. GIGABYTE will produce and ship replacement motherboards according to Intel’s chipset shipping schedule. GIGABYTE will provide an equivalent new motherboard for replacement after the motherboards have arrived into the European warehouses.

I have registered with Gigabyte but not heard anything further yet. I assume since the form captures the reseller details that it might in fact be them who contacts me when they have stock of the board.

If They want us to send a motherboard to them. Then Receive a replacement Once they receive it Within Europe?! That's At least a week without a Functioning PC. Thats Shocking.

Im Feeling Just Sending my Motherboard back for a Refund then buying a B3 Version WHICH ARE already on sale.

Gigabyte uk are pretty good , when I rma'd my x58 board it was turned around in 3 days, you send to there center in Milton Keynes.

But this to me is different they should do as in the states and let us send the boards back afterwards

Yeah they are pretty good in the UK. I do hope that the process goes smooth mind you. Think there are going to be lots of motherboards all wanting to be replaced at the same time. That is going to put a strain on the systems in place. I guess it would be worth the while to wait till once the first rush is over before sending my boards in. Touch wood I have not had any SATA issues as yet so there is no dire need.

I've registered, but I only have my DVD drive on SATA2. May just bite the bullet and get an external DVD drive if I ever need to.

Kubase. You should not have to.

Don't roll over and accept it.

Intel are propping up a BILLION dollars for this. No customer should be inconvenienced, no customer should have to compromise, no customer should have to pay a bean for getting a fit and proper working motherboard.

Seriously! i wish i bought a gigabyte board now - since i live + work in Milton Keynes :/

aha :P

Hopefully we all get them changed quickly and easily, and of course... FREE. if its only a 3 day wait then ill probably just do that. but a week Plus is taking the **** :(

Yeah, you're right. Does anyone one know if we'll have to return our old boards before being sent the B3 ones?

Most likley, how long have you had your board? If under 28 days you should be able to buy a new rev board and return the old want for a refund.

Yes they do a really good Rma, but in this case, we should get the same service as the US and get the new board first

Ive Received an Email from Gigabyte saying that they will be collecting my old B2 motherboard and swapping it over to a B3 version. (at the Same Time, using City Link)

This is Great news, i hope everyone gets their replacement soon!
