Hey guys
Having some trouble overclocking my setup:
Gigabyte P965-DS3P rev3.3 - F5 BIOS
Intel E4300
Akasa 400W PSU
Tuniq Tower 120
2 x 750GB Seagates SATA2
2 x 320GB WD's SATA2
ATI X600 PCI-E
I'm really battling to get this thing to boot at high FSB's. The best I can get it to do is 9 x 320Mhz. If I lower the multi and up the FSB, the machine powers down, tries to restart a few times but eventually resets to stock speeds.
I was running GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 memory but thought there might be compatibility problems between it and the board so I bought some Corsair XMS2 Twin2X2048-6400 RAM yesterday. Exactly the same problem!
I've tried a bunch of different voltages, including: FSB +0.2v, MCH +0.1v, CPU 1.55v, RAM +0.3v, etc. I've tried booting it at 401Mhz, 402, 403 etc. because my mate said there might be "holes" near the 400mhz mark. I've tried setting the PCI-E card to 101 and 102Mhz. I left the memory timings on SPD but they were set at 5-5-5-18 when I checked.
Any ideas? I would love to get this bad boy up to about 8 x 400mhz at least.
Help please!
