To be fair we have no idea how capable a person he is in that type of situation, so hard to say if her not saying that is justifyable or not.
A doorman should never be in that situation, two's up minimum at all times, backs against walls and what doorman would not be wearing stab proof clothing? esp in scotland! With others only a radio call away. Except when doing some slapper in the toiletsDoes it matter how capable you are if you are out numbered 4-1 or someone comes behind you with a knife?
And some are more capable than others.Anyone is vulnerable to that kind of thing
Haha... funnily and strangely enough, I do all of those and she doesn't bat an eye lid. This for some reason has freaked her. She used to work in a bar and apparently "seen things"

Man the **** up and do what you think is best.
There is no way some stranger on a forum is going to give you advice on how to handle your girlfriend who is also unknown to them.
No real trust - No real relationship.
What are you 13?![]()
Well that's not quite true. Trust is earned and that takes time.
listen to your G/F its a rotten way to make a living.
worked the doors up here a few years ago and I could tell you some horror stories.
BUT if your going to do it take the advice above. go through a decent training provider and as mentioned learn some basic self defence skills. and remember never be cocky. Just because your wearing a vest and know how to look after yourself doesnt mean you wont get hurt. This daydream that door stewards are always team handed is untrue. I've found myself single manning on occasions and its not a pleasant experience when something kicks off. Its not all about nightclubs and scantily clad women though, try having some drunken 6 1/2 foot hairy bloke touching you up. Pick the company you work for carefully, theres a lot of cowboy operators out there believe me i've worked for a few of them. Just remember you WILL get hurt and you will have trouble at some point. but if your careful and sensible you can minimise the risks to yourself and if you've got the gift of the gab you can talk down a lot of situations before they start.
I've seen stewards stabbed glassed attacked with nailfiles high heels any anything and everything in between. a lot of situations can be stopped before they start but a lot of that is down to common sense and experience, knowing what to look for and snuffing flashpoints out early.
If you have any other questions of want some advice then e-mail in trust
One gent I worked with got spat in the face one night and ended up in a 3 month coma
What the hell was in his spit?
