Hi there,

My girlfriend has a job interview at Barclays soon. She currently works in a care home so doesn't really have any directly relevant experience.

I've thought of quite a few ways she can show a relevance between the skills she uses in her current job and her prospective new carer.

Has anyone been through the Barclays recruitement process or know what kind of things she will be asked.

Cheers

She's going for a cashiers job, so I'm prepping her for answering customer service/people skills type questions.

She needs to talk about her people skills, and also give examples of when she has worked under pressure, what she has done in a difficult situation, how she handles a bad day at work etc. Even if she has no experience in the role she is applying for, these skills will show that she has the ability to do the job.

Wish her luck! I hate job interviews but I had a particularly nice one today :D

Thanks for your kind wishes.

Incidentally, are you the Vix who used to be on the Forums a few years back. A rather attractive lady if my memory serves me correctly ;)
