*** GLASGOW MEET 2012 - October 27th ***

Glasgow is a great city, plenty of places available for rent and if you stay in the city there's an amazing nightlife/dining on offer. Lots for tourists to do/see and it's rated as the number shopping destination outside London.

If you have a car you can head further North/island hop to take in some amazing experiences/scenery.

I travel a lot for work and have been in most of the major cities, I've yet to find one that compares to Glasgow.

For the record I'm English and have never had any hassle, you'll find the Scots a very friendly bunch. Sure like anywhere there's a dodgy element but stay out of the dodgy places and you'll be fine. I've had more hassle in England with my somewhat muddled accent than I've ever had in Scotland.

Thanks for the information. I actually look forward to see Glasgow myself now if I ever land one of the jobs there. Before I had no idea what it is like, except that it is far far away. :)

Pah the "Catty"! The last time I went I was 19, it was bad enough then, you can't tell me it's got better since!

Unless you want to pick up 13-16 yo girls I suggest you stay clear of the catty XD

This does look interesting and I am quite close to glasgow. Only thing is that I don't know anyone and I'm not part of the general discussion crew!

Shame it's not on a Friday or I could have told the wife I was going for a few beers after work.

Don't think I could pull off "I'm going to meet some geeks that I talk to on the internet".

She think's I'm enough of a weirdo as it is.

Nobody knows anybody at first, there's already people signed up that didn't come to the first one. Most of the folk at last years weren't GD regulars either.

My missus thought it was weird, but it's not at all.

hmm I'm tempted by this Glasgow was cool last time i went. (and while unintelligible scots are really friendly)

but I'm a poor sub minimum wage apprentice, but if there's an ocuker willing to ofter a kitchen counter to sleep on I'm up for it :D

NB: I'm a very strange drunk, could end with fun and frivolity, could end up with you being sexually molested, but hey life's a gamble

Tentative. Mainly as I have no idea what October has in store for me yet. Although I think Ahleckz is due a keg by now.

Although I'll confirm closer to the time and can give folks from Edinburgh a run through, I won't be bevying sadly. Mainly because I don't want to kip over in weegieland. :D
