God of War I or II?

Which one would you say is better I or II? Or just play both?

If it had to be one though, GoW 1 since its the first part of the story.

Play both for sure, 1 is better though imo.

Story line wise the first is much better. However, the second offers more modes that extend the gameplay, after you complete the basic story mode.

I just finished the first one yesterday, awesome game.

I bought both at the same time and lent 2 out straight away, slight misjudgement on my part.

I can't remember the last time I finished a game in days, it normally takes me a while if ever. With God of War however, every time I went to have a quick go, I ended up being on it for 2 or 3 hours.

How many hours did you put in to complete it?

The clock is at 10hrs 08min on my last save, which is the last save point in the game (after the last boss even).

I think God of War is known to be a relatively short game, from what I've read 2 is a bit longer.

For the price the first can be had I would say there's no reason not to get both.

Thats perfect tbh, could do with a short game, currently playing through FF7 for the first time atm
