Going from Job Seekers to employment and then fired?

You don't know the person in question from adam let alone the reasons he was on benifits for a length of time before, what he's hot water for now and to make any sort of judgement wether he should be entitled to benifits or not in the future.

You've not been told these details and you've not been asked for an opnion on such matters, just advice.

You've just generalised. Think before you make sweeping comments.

Thought sweeping statements were cool on this forum :)

He didn't provide details so I generalised. He asked opinions based on what he posted so I did that.

If he wanted a more bespoke answer he should go into more detail :P

I completely agree. :)

I was just in the musing of what if the person in question.. something like.. found out he had diabetes, was dealing with it taking long term incapacity benifits or some such and his "non-serious" faults in work could be that hes going off to take his insulin for 10 mins and not telling anyone, being un-mindful. Completely hypothetical of course. Maybe a similar situation...

But I digress, without such detail you could be just as correct in your generalisation, very true. :)

You're right. No one ever loses their job due to circumstances outside their control, malicious bosses, etc...

He might get the sack for doing something he souldn't have done...

That hardly seems out of his control???

He was given a chance, messed it up, no benifits for 1 year!

If you voluntarily quit your job for whatever reason, bored, want to go on holiday, dont like it etc etc, can you then go on JSA while you look for another job?

If you resign I don't believe you can.

Similar lines as they see you resigning to return to claiming.

No. You can't get JSA within a certain period of leaving - possibly 6 months - if you left of your own volition.

You can, however, claim JSA if you resigned under the terms of a compromise agreement, if it was on the basis that you were jumping before you were pushed.
