had watercooling for about two years now and tbh im fed up with it, so im thinking of going back to air cooling.

how good are new air coolers (zalman, Tuniq Tower etc) compared to water cooling?

im quite happy to pay upto £40 for the best air cooler i can get.

for starters its no necessary to change the water unless it starts filling up with gunk, I had the same water without additives for over a year and it was crystal clear when I took it out.

secondly I think if you've done water right you'll be disappointed with a move back to air

I've had watercooling for 3 years or so and have just gone with air on my new rig ... I went to water originally to get me a 2.8GHz barton with acceptable noise levels :D... then a 2.8+GHz opty165 but I now reckon that I don't need it and am very satisfied with my system. It did put me off upgrading for a while to be honest to avoid the hastle - as an aside if amd had an upgrade path from the s939 opty then I would have stuck with em. and watercooling ...
