i currently own a club 3d 1800xl which can do with the help of watercooling 610/630 in 24/7 operation , but given the very low price of the 1900' i was considering upgrading to one. Do you think it is worth the hassle?

the XL can do 9349 @3dmark05

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=1540048

on a 4000+ single core running 2.8ghz, x1900xtx running 700/800 on stock cooler we got 11400marks

on my system running if i turn down my fx60 to stock, and disable crossfire, use ccc overdrive(ya get it with the card anyway so use it) i get 11850, so that should be what ya roughly get with your setup.

anymore questions just ask

also not sure what cpu you have but if ya push it some more and will water on the card, 14k can be hit

i own a X2 manchester core @ 2650 and 2 gig micron chips @3-3-3-7

so u think mate 14K is possible with this babe watercooled?

also memtest it looks like i have 3400 mb/s if that helps

Hi, sorry to go off topic but just curious what did you do to clock your FX-60 to 3ghz? up the multi or? If I was loaded I'd buy one! :p

Cheers,

Imo, it's worth it.

Mine did 12K at stock. Overclocked i get over 13K: result

I still wish i'd bought the 7900GTX though.

Be warned though, Iraklis, they run very hot so you'll be needing that water cooling! Don't be fooled by the superior IQ myth thats going round too.

If i could have got the 7900GTX for the same bargain, thats what i'd have chosen ;)

Very odd, im sure it was 15.5k when i ran with the CAT 6.3's, unless im mistaken, if the world record is 16k for an XTX under dry ice i think must be lol, if it wasn't 15.5k then bugger knows where i got that from.

Im gona have to run it later find out what it was, got me puzzled that now lol.

Cheers,

tried a few 200x15 etc, found 250x12 was the most stable, though im currently playing around with 300x10 at the moment

At the moment I dont see a point in an upgrade that you really *need*. I would just wait till you actually *need* to upgrade your card, insted of just upgrading for the fun of extra 30 or what every fps. You xl should be fine at the moment, with games out there today. For example your not going to 'see' a difference with 80 fps and 100. anyways thats what I would do.

Thats my 2 cents.
