OK guys, got an obsidian waiting for my first attempt at watercooling and also got a GTX295 watercool edition to go in, so HW wise im there and ready...

What do I need in addition to that radiator and pump wise etc etc?

I want this to be a quiet solution BTW....

the lacing d5 pump with the xpcs resiovar top is a very popular choice for a pump, and its what i'm going to be using in my current build (pending a couple of fittings arriving for it to be finished)

As for a radiator, your case as space and is already prepared for a 120.3 radiator in the roof, so i would suggest a thermochill PA120.3 (the 15mm spacing ones)

If you are wanting to watercool your CPU aswell, look at the HeatKiller 3.0 cpu blocks

Ok for 1 loop would

a GTX 295
NB cooled
and Athlon 965 C3

Be too much, am i overloading it or is that about right? Also what sort of fans are people using?

Erm well if you fit a 480mm rad at the top it should be fine i think :/
But if you want a list of what you need.....
Pump
Resvoir
Radiator
Fans
Tubing
Fluid
Block
Bits

No your not overloading it, I was running an overclocked Opteron 146 CPU / Northbridge and XFX7600GT card on just a Laing pump and res top combo, a 240 radiator with 1/2" tubing and danger den blocks and CPU ran at 32 idle when I had my watercooling in and all in a wavemaster case + most CPU and graphics are more power efficiant nowdays so that will be fine on a single loop.

You mean the laing ddc with xspc reservoir top. Not the D5.

A quad radiator will fit if you cut up the case a bit. Otherwise you want a 60mm thick thermochill triple.

OK cool, dont want to cut up the case really :-) So looks like its a 60mm thick thermochill then.....

What fans are you guys using? Im not a noise fanatic!

One of those is a 295gtx, which will throw out roughly the same heat as two 260gtx. Adding a 200W cpu to the loop means it's going to run fairly warm on a triple unless the fans are powerful. I'm making the bold assumption that he wants better temperatures than air cooling.

@OP, ideally you want san ace 38mm. If you can't find these, 1850rpm gentle typhoons. Use a shroud if at all possible, thermochill make folded steel ones especially for their radiators, or you can use old fans with the hubs torn out.

Yeah im after Better temps AND lower noise.... And also cool looks....

If I was to put 2 rads into the loop is that possible in the obsidian without doing crazy mods?

heres a link to a thread with a water cooled obsidian case, might help a bit with what u need

here

I know thats an uber system in that thread but still shows where to place fittings etc and looks the dogs danglies in that awesome case
