Hello going on holiday in couple weeks and instead using my HTC one m8 for its camera am thinking buying a digital camera.. Now am no expect when it comes to the quality of digital cameras.. I think the image quality from the htc one m8 is very good and if I can get a camera around same quality I'll be happy..

Let's say price range above 50 and below 100.. Willing to come up a little bit if it's worth it..

Thanks

A camera around that budget, the phone is probably just as good. Any reason not to use your phone?

It comes with a host of other features too, that a camera at that budget won't have.

Mainly just to keep my phone safe from damage, sand etc
I thinking just having a camera that I can easy point and click will be more convenient for holiday.

Although I have never owned a digital camera before.

Another option is a used or refurb camera such as a Fuji XF-1 which is a great little camera for the money with a larger than normal sensor, wide lens, f1.8 aperture and RAW. Plenty available on Ebay for less than £100.

The XF1 takes excellent photos (I've got one :)) but has got a rather less than stellar reputation for reliability (I've got a dead one :()
