There's a campsite in Capel Curig that I like to go too. No facilities other than just a field with basic toilets/showers but it's in a nice area :)

i used to go to swansea/mumbles a lot when i was younger and its close to that so im happy! read through the website and it does sound exactly the kind of thing we are after, especially the woodland camping.
Whats the river like there? Any chance of fishing do you know? (im talking about a couple just having a piddle about, nothing like pro sport fishing... lol)

they don't seem to frown on anything, just prefer people with common sense

Yes i have been, lovely tranquil place, not too far out, near the aberdulais falls and loads of walks/trails.

ill dig out some pics and post here. edit: cant find any :( ill keep looking but it really is an awesome place, can have massive camp fires too :D

Haven't camped there but stayed in a beautiful farmhouse about 5 mins from those falls so in the same area. It's gorgeous. Pics (obv not of campsite, but of the area):

The falls:
