I've been with orange for about 8 years now and I've come to the end of my latest contract, an off-peak combination for £25/month. Unfortunately though my calling habits have changed and I hardly call during off peak times so calling at peak times has led to high bills £35+.

Anyway, rang Orange to see if they could do a deal othewise I was considering a Flext20/25 tarrif. The kind woman said she could do me a special offer of 500min/month cross-net+anytime & 100 texts for £25/month, but on an 18month contract. She'd also include a new phone, but I'd have to pay about £55 for an SPV M3100. (I'm currently using an SPV M500 and love it) Does this sound like a good deal? What other deals have people had from Orange?

Thanks.

Looks like a fairly good deal to me. Your monthly spend isn't really that big, so yes it is a good deal. Looks like they've offered you the £35 Racoon deal for £25 and the phone for a heck of a lot less than a new customer.

I must admit I hope they'll offer me something similar in a couple of months. Like you I'm £10-20 a month over my tariff and currently using a M500.

I'm sure Dolph will pop along soon and give us the low down :)
