Unfortunately, last night, someone broke into my house and demanded car keys from my mum at knife point. Luckily, she's bonkers, and screamed "LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO MY DOOR" and chased them out as I came down the stairs, so nothing was taken, and more importantly, no one was hurt.
A beef up of security is now required, and I'd like to fit a CCTV camera. I think I've found an ideal location, looking from the front door up the drive between the two parked cars. I think it would look better though with a dome camera.
How much would I have to pay for a good clear one that can handle low light? The porch it would be in will be lit, though not brightly, and there is a streetlight outside the house, but its a stupid LED one that's not very bright. I'd want to connect it to some kind of DVR too, so any recommendations there would be good too.
It doesn't have to move or zoom, or anything, it's just got to be fairly discrete looking but have a decent clear picture..
