Good food/sweets for keeping sugar level up?

I've found glucose tablet/s to be the fastest method of raising blood sugar levels.

Dextro Energy, Lucozade, Boots own brand etc

Kendal mint cake is evil and should be banned by the trades description act.

Absolutely nothing wrong with many additives and e-numbers, infact without them many foods would be impossible to sell. Just something to consider before ruling them out.

I am a type 1 diabetic and as said above dextrose energy tablets. The orange flavor ones are very nice if you can get some.
